The only big difference is the position it puts your shoulder in. . Some people feel stronger in a pull up position(palm facing away) while other people feels better with palm facing them. . TRAINER INSIDER ⠀ ⠀ The deadlift! Deadlifts can be like coriander, you either love it or you hate it! And if you’re on the 'no thanks' side, it is likely because your technique is not right making it feel uncomfortable in your lower back. ⠀ ⠀ We LOVE deadlifts because they are a full-body movement. It works your shoulders, arms, back, legs, core and even your hands. It's the hardest working exercise you can do at the gym. ⠀ ⠀ Plus, we love it because it is an everyday move. We deadlift in various aspects of our life without realising, like picking up your child, moving furniture or bending down to get something off the lower shelf. So the better you become at deadlifts in the gym, the better protected your body will become when doing an everyday movement. ⠀ ⠀ 1️⃣ Approach the bar and place your feet under the bar so when you look down, the bar is between your shin and your toes. ⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣ Have feet hip-width apart. Wrap hands firmly around the bar shoulder-width apart. ⠀ ⠀ 3️⃣ Bend over, so the bar is almost touching your shin. ⠀ ⠀ 4️⃣ Pull the shoulders back. Take a deep breath in, engage the core and butt muscles. ⠀ ⠀ 5️⃣ Pull the bar up and focus on pressing your weight down into the heels of your feet. As the bar passes your knees, thrust your hips forward. ⠀ ⠀ 6️⃣ Use the same control to lower the bar keeping all muscles engaged and exhale. ⠀ ⠀ Breathe is a great way to maintain engagement of muscles. When we exhale, it is natural for our core to relax. When starting this is an excellent way to ensure all your stabilising muscles are switched on, so take a big inhale before a power move and only exhale at completion or on the return.

Resisted scapular slides are the perfect way to progress both a wall slide and facepull, as it combines the both of them into one progressed movement . I’ll program standard wall slides into a warm-up for anyone needing to improve overall shoulder rotation, upper back activation and scapular mobility. Once the athlete can hit a standard wall slide with limited back arch and a solid overhead reach while maintaining forearm contact with the wall, I would progress the movement . The resisted scapular slide has become a new favorite of mine. I like to do it from a tall kneeling position for added hip extension, but you can also do it ½ kneeling, seated or even standing. You’re working against the typical wall slide pattern as the cable is going to try to pull you forward . Coaching cues: Keep a straight back. Keep the elbows in line with the hands. Treat this the same way you would treat a dumbbell overhead press: starting at the shoulder and ending in full overhead extension. Higher volume, lower weight; you don’t need a lot to make this effective.

Chest, shoulder, abs, and arms can all be worked out pretty well with bands or just bodyweight, so I opted to do 𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 today😁 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What are your go-to workouts when you don’t have a gym or have minimal equipment?? Bands are a lifesaver for me! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Here’s your BACK WORKOUT👇🏼😁⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 sets⁣⁣ AMRAP Pull ups⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 sets⁣⁣ 10 Single arm cable pull down (each arm)⁣⁣ 10 Narrow grip lat push down ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 sets⁣⁣ 10 Supinated cable row⁣⁣ 12 Underhand cable pull downs⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 sets⁣⁣ 10 Mid row machine⁣⁣ 10 Assisted pull ups⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Quick, simple and effective! Today I was lazy AF, didn't want to workout because my body was sore and wasn't in the mood. Yes I do have days that I am lazy. Butttt laziness isn't going to bring me results. MUSCLES ARE FOR WOMEN....💥Shoulder workout💥. ——- If you want to be more toned, have less body fat, have less flabby skin, change the shape of your body, stoke your metabolism, and basically look like a sexy badass... you need to LIFT for it (aka BUILD muscles)💪🏻. And to be perfectly honest.... most women miss that by focusing on boot camps, cardio with weights or turn weight training sessions into a cardio workout (aka HIIT or light weight circuit training). Nothing against cardio or HIIT if done correctly, but they are NOT the same as weight or strength training😉. ——- Here’s a shoulder workout I did last weekend and there was 🚫jumping around in between sets or afterwards involved.
